Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the joints that affects an estimated 1.3 million Americans today. The disease occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the thin membrane that lines the joints. The result can be joint damage, pain, inflammation, loss of function and disability.
The Arthritis Foundation helps fund arthritis research, education and community programs to help support those living and struggling with all types of arthritis today. And the Arthritis Walk is one way to help raise the funding needed for these programs across the country.
It’s that time of year again! And I am helping to raise money for the Arthritis Walk in San Francisco. This year The Daily Chronics team (lead by me) is hoping to double our fundraising goal from last year to reach our new goal of $3,000! Visit my fundraising page to donate now. Your generous donation is tax deductible and some companies will even match your donation.
It’s not easy living with a chronic autoimmune disease, but with your support it can make it that much better. Thank you in advance for your help to reach my fundraising goal. All of us living with RA and Juvenile RA could not do this without you.
